One Piece’s Latest Spoilers: Lilith’s Emotional Journey as the True Vegapunk

The raw scans for One Piece chapter 1124 have already been released, even though the official release date is not until August 26, 2024. The chapter depicts the Straw Hat Pirates’ bittersweet escape from Egghead Island, where they could only save Vegapunk Lilith as the other Vegapunk satellites were all sacrificed in some form.

Furthermore, Lilith displayed unusual conduct upon waking up, such as her sudden voracious appetite and constant tears for the misfortune of her fellow satellites. This went against her reputation as the embodiment of evil, suggesting that the emotions of all the other Vegapunk satellites may be residing within her, making her the true Vegapunk, much like Vegapunk Stella.

Despite the depressing sights on Egghead Island, One Piece chapter 1124 soon turned its focus to the giant’s ship where Lilith was waking up. Upon waking, she was immediately updated on the current state of affairs. Nami and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates repeatedly apologized to her for the loss of her fellow comrades.

After taking a moment to compose herself, she asked them to allow her to cry. She then burst into tears in front of the Straw Hat Pirates. Surprisingly, only a few seconds later, she announced that she was feeling hungry. As they gathered around the dining table, they found Luffy in a somber mood, mourning over his inability to save Vegapunk Stella from her tragic fate.

Despite the Straw Hat appearing to have broken his promise, Lilith reminded Luffy that all the Vegapunks sacrificed on Egghead Island were still technically alive, which lifted the mood and reignited the celebration. She encouraged him not to cry.

It is well-known among fans that Vegapunk divided his being into six distinct bodies, apart from his original self, each embodying a specific emotion. These bodies were referred to as Vegapunk satellites, with the two closest to the scientist being Shaka (good) and Pythagoras (wisdom).

The Egghead arc resulted in the destruction of all the Vegapunk satellites, leaving only Vegapunk Lilith (evil) and Vegapunk York (greed) as the sole survivors. The latter managed to survive thanks to precautions implemented by Vegapunk Atlas (violence).

Despite being portrayed as the villainous Vegapunk, One Piece chapter 1124 revealed that Lilith’s actions were not always in line with her supposed personality. In a surprising turn of events, she showed compassion for her comrades by shedding tears and even displayed a human quality of hunger during a critical situation.

After the destruction of Egghead Island, Lilith could potentially become the true Vegapunk, containing the emotions of all the other Vegapunk satellites within her. In the future, she could also potentially awaken the emotions of the other satellites that were previously harbored.

Final thoughts

The issue of dead Vegapunk satellites remains a contentious topic, as there are still several satellites whose end has not been officially verified. One notable example is that of Vegapunk Edison.

Additionally, it has yet to be confirmed if Punk Records remains unscathed from the Haki explosion caused by JoyBoy. As a precaution, fans should approach this article with caution and await official confirmation.
