One Piece’s Wyper will likely appear on the Blue Sea in the Final Saga, and this theory shows why

Wyper can definitely be seen as the standout player of the Skypiea arc in One Piece, given his impressive display against the tyrant Enel and earning recognition from Roronoa Zoro, one of the most formidable swordsmen in the Grand Line.

Since the climax of this arc, Wyper has not made a reappearance, and this is understandable as he had promised to safeguard the light of Shandora during his final appearance. However, readers were delighted to see him briefly return in the cover stories of the series, where he appeared to have undergone a transformation in both his appearance and status.

Although it may be difficult to predict Wyper’s potential return, considering the events that have occurred in the past makes it more logical to imagine his comeback. As evidenced during the Skypiea arc, Wyper’s main goal was to safeguard his island, which also housed the Poneglyph. It would make sense for him to continue protecting whatever secrets the Poneglyph holds, completing his character arc and making his return a possibility.

Wyper, also known as the Berserker, is the direct descendant of Kalgara, the trusted ally of Mont Blanc Noland and the former ruler of Shandora, which was overthrown by Enel. He was the initial individual that the Straw Hat Pirates encountered upon their arrival on Skypiea Island.

The Straw Hat Pirates encountered a minor antagonist in One Piece who harbored a strong hatred towards foreigners attempting to visit Skypiea Island without reason. Despite their attempts to defend themselves, the attacks continued until they were rescued by Gan Fall, who revealed the truth about the ongoing situation on the sky island.

Wyper’s formidable strength is nothing to be underestimated, as he possesses a strong physique that can easily defeat even the most powerful adversaries. In addition, his expertise in utilizing Dials is exceptional, as demonstrated during his encounter with the Straw Hat Pirates, which even earned him praise from Roronoa Zoro for his impressive skills.

In the end, he teamed up with the Straw Hat Pirates in their battle against the ultimate villain, Enel, and emerged victorious. Following the conclusion of the arc, Wyper made a solemn vow to keep the flame of Shandora alive and to never let his people down again. When the time skip occurred, Wyper assumed the role of leader of the guards responsible for protecting the Skypiean deities.

Wyper’s final words, declaring that he would never allow the fire of Shandora to be extinguished, can be interpreted in multiple ways. One interpretation is that he would also defend his people, the Shandorans, and never allow anyone to harm them again.

Another interpretation of this statement is that it refers to how he would safeguard the Historical Poneglyph, which held great value for the Shandora people. Therefore, it can be inferred that Wyper would also have a desire to protect the message conveyed by this Poneglyph.

After completing the Skypiea arc in One Piece, the Straw Hat Pirates were granted access to the area of the island where the enormous golden bell was being guarded. It was also where the Poneglyph was located, and Nico Robin seized the opportunity to translate it.

The Poneglyph contained information about the whereabouts of one of the Ancient Weapons, Poseidon (Princess Shirahoshi). Therefore, Wyper had a direct path to return to the Grand Line in order to safeguard Princess Shirahoshi from potential harm.

It is possible that Wyper may play a role in Princess Shirahoshi’s awakening as an Ancient Weapon. However, since JoyBoy (Monkey D Luffy) is believed to be the one who will awaken Shirahoshi’s powers, Wyper’s role may be limited to protecting Poseidon from any potential threats.
