We are currently deep into the Spring anime seasons, and there is a new show that has captured the attention of the artist responsible for the highly acclaimed One Punch Man.
The debut of Kaiju No 8 on Crunchyroll was met with great excitement as the anime series began with an explosive start. As the name suggests, the show revolves around massive, Godzilla-esque creatures and the individuals tasked with defeating them.
This story centers around the individuals responsible for cleaning up after a battle with a giant monster, and one of the cleaners who gains the ability to transform into a massive Kaiju. With its blend of comedy, strangeness, and slight gruesomeness, the story has already garnered a following within the industry.
Yusuke Murata, the artist known for the One Punch Man manga, tweeted about the amazing anime Kaiju No 8, specifically praising the opening monster attack scene. He noted that the art is both realistic and intriguing, with a distinct style that sets it apart.
That’s truly a blessing! Since its inception in 2012, Yusuke has been collaborating with One, the creator of One Punch Man, on the manga, and their partnership continues to produce new chapters.
Naoya Matsumoto created Kaiju No 8, a manga that began in 2020 and is still ongoing. Although the adaptation has a long way to go before catching up to the current events in the Kaiju No 8 manga, it is already a much younger series compared to Saitama.
The first season of Kaiju No 8 is currently being released on a weekly basis, every Saturday, on Crunchyroll.
