One Punch Man: season 3 changes studio and presents its first images

The MAPPA studio was tipped to direct season 3 of One Punch Man, but the latest teaser indicates otherwise.

The terrible wait that One Punch Man fans have had to endure until now seems to be coming to an end: after season 2 aired in 2019, we finally had news of season 3 of the superheroic anime. This new part was announced with a poster in 2022, revealing a key image signed by the hand of character designer Chikasi Kubota. And since then, not much has come out on the web.

However, the series made its notable debut in 2015, under the leadership of the Madhouse studio. For its sequel, she moved to the JC Staff studio, only to change again. It was then supposed to be managed by the MAPPA studio, at least according to various reports.

It took almost five years of waiting for spectators to obtain more concrete information, via the official website. It was in a special teaser that we were informed of the name of the studio and the team that will be in charge of season 3 of One Punch Man.

The animation studio behind One Punch Man season 3 is not MAPPA

According to the latest teaser, JC Staff will return to animating One Punch Man for season 3. Screenwriter Tomohiro Suzuki is responsible for the adaptation, while Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda and Ryosuke Shirakawa will be the character designers.

Garou takes center stage in the trailer, rolling his muscles and showing off his immense power. It will take a hero like Saitama to stop the villain.

The first preview did not reveal a release date for One Punch Man season 3. However, we should expect an announcement soon, taking into account the time that has passed since the previous season aired. We can therefore hope for a date in 2024.
