One Punch Man season 3 character visual showcases Tatsumaki in her Terrible Tornado glory

On the anime’s official website, the character visual for Tatsumaki, also known as “Terrible Tornado”, was revealed by One Punch Man season 3 on Friday, August 2, 2024. The new illustration was created by Shinjiro Kuroda, one of the character designers for the upcoming anime.

Despite the silence from the anime’s staff about the production of One Punch Man season 3 following the release of season 1 in Fall 2015 and season 2 in Spring 2019, they eventually unveiled an announcement trailer years later. Subsequently, the staff began releasing one character visual every month.

One Punch Man Season 3 Unveils Sixth Character Visual

On Friday, August 2, 2024, the One Punch Man anime’s official sources revealed the character visual for the S-Class Hero Tatsumaki, also known as “Terrible Tornado.”The illustration was created by Shinjiro Kuroda, one of the character designers for the upcoming third season of One Punch Man alongside Ryosuke Shirakawa.

Regarding Tatsumaki’s illustration, it depicts the S-Class Rank 2 Hero appearing to ready themselves for a battle against a monster or foe.

The official website of the anime has been consistently revealing one character visual at the beginning of each month since the announcement of One Punch Man season 3 in February 2024. So far, the anime has introduced five character visuals, including Saitama “Caped Baldy,”King, Genos “Demon Cyborg,”Fubuki “Hellish Blizzard,”and Bang “Silver Fang.”

Out of the six character visuals released so far, Ryosuke Shirakawa has illustrated Saitama, King, and Fubuki, while Shinjiro Kuroda has illustrated the remaining three, namely Genos, Bang, and Tatsumaki.

Reactions to Tatsumaki’s Character Visual

Despite having mixed reactions, One Punch Man fans had varying opinions on the Tatsumaki character visual. While some fans appreciated it, others found it slightly unappealing. Those who favored the visual were delighted by the youthful appearance it portrayed for the character.

“I like it, but she looks a bit too youthful IMO,”one fan said.

“Someone please tell me if im just tripping, but does she look kinda off?,”another added.

“interesting choice of style on her but it’s not bad, wonder how she’ll look in animation,”another said.

Some individuals were not fond of the chosen style for the character. While they did not necessarily dislike the visual, they were unsure of how it would translate when animated.

“i wonder how many hero visual we need before they announce one punch man season 3 release date,”another fan said.

“And another one, maybe Child Emperor will be the next one,”other fan said.

At the same time, some fans began to question how many character visuals the anime would reveal before announcing the release date of the series. Additionally, there were speculations among others that Child Emperor would be the next character to have his character visual unveiled.
