How long have you been able to keep a Pokemon in a gym while playing Pokemon Go? A week? A month? It likely required a strong Pokemon such as Blissey, Snorlax, or Melmetal to hold the gym for that long and receive the minimal 50-coin reward.
It appears that a Pokemon Go enthusiast is taking the game to new heights, as they have proudly displayed their remarkable seven-year streak of dominating gyms. What’s even more astonishing is that they have achieved this feat with a simple Weedle.
A player of Pokemon Go posted on Reddit, recounting their experience of their powerful bug being stationed in a gym for more than 2583 days, which translates to approximately seven years. They also questioned, “Is it uncommon to have left my Weedle in this gym over 7 years ago?”
The heroics of this Pokemon and its longstanding record have left people in awe, with one individual even exclaiming, “Wow, I’ve had some pretty long stretches, but I’ve never witnessed 7 years!”
Later, someone else exclaimed, “That Pokemon is a legend! It deserves a lucky 4* just for holding a gym for such a long time, it’s a part of the lore. That Weedle is incredibly strong.”
It has been discovered that the author of this post has continuously added updates throughout the years. This was revealed when a comment below shared a previous observation of Weedle’s success in the gym, with the statement “Ur him.”In response, the author confirmed, “Yep lol. I’ve received messages from people asking for updates.”
One individual expressed a negative perspective by stating, “The best we can hope for is receiving 50 coins.”This was followed by another person suggesting the possibility of reaching the daily limit, to which a third person added, “That would definitely frustrate me.”
It appears that a few individuals still recall the prior updates on the exploits of this determined Weedle, as one individual inquires, “You previously mentioned that he made a friend at the gym a few years back; how many Pokémon are currently accompanying him?”The author responded, “He’s currently accompanied by four.”
