It’s advisable to set up a conveyor or transport belt positioned two grids away from the Gun Turrets, ensuring a constant supply of Firearm Magazines to keep your turrets stocked with ammunition.

This defensive arrangement centers around creating a production line for Firearm Magazines that wraps around your base, allowing Inserters to autonomously load each Gun Turret near the walls. While implementing this setup can be challenging, especially with regular expansions requiring adjustments, the advantages are notable.

Before dedicating resources to this defensive strategy, it’s crucial to identify your threats. The aggression from Spitters and Biters isn’t random; it correlates directly with your pollution levels and the proximity of your operations to their spawning locations.
