Optimal Moveset for Pokemon Go Shadow Entei in PvP and Raids

The Legendary Entei is making a comeback in Pokémon Go as a Shadow Raid boss during the Max Out season. Here’s a comprehensive overview of Shadow Entei’s optimal movesets for both PvP and Raid scenarios.

Entei is one of the Legendary Beasts from Generation 2, alongside Suicune and Raikou, which first appeared in Pokémon Go in 2017. The Shadow variant was introduced later in 2020.

Now, it’s set to return to Shadow Raids every weekend in October. If you’re looking to add this Fire-type Legendary to your battle team, check out its most effective movesets for PvP and Raids.

Best Moveset for PvP

The ideal moveset for Shadow Entei in PvP includes Fire Spin as the Fast Move, paired with Flame Charge and Scorching Sands as the Charged Moves.

While Fire Fang delivers slightly better damage output, Fire Spin is preferred due to its superior energy generation, which is crucial for using Charged Moves effectively in PvP battles.

When selecting Charged Moves, Flame Charge is an excellent choice because of its low energy requirement and guaranteed attack boost. Your second option can be either Scorching Sands or Iron Head, both providing solid coverage for Entei with unique advantages and disadvantages.

Trainers may prefer Scorching Sands for its overall damage output. Additionally, Overheat can serve as a powerful option for delivering substantial damage when opponents have no shields, albeit at a higher risk.

Best Moveset for Raids

Fire Fang as the Fast Move, complemented by Overheat as the Charged Move.

In PvE gameplay, Fire Fang‘s higher damage becomes more advantageous compared to Fire Spin. Similarly, Overheat is a strong Charged Move option. For those attacking Gyms, Flamethrower serves as a valuable alternative.

All Moves Shadow Entei Can Learn in Pokémon Go
