Fans of Pokémon Go have another chance to engage in battle as Shadow Suicune re-emerges as a formidable Shadow Raid Boss. This guide will equip trainers with the essential movesets to optimize their performance in both PvP and Raids.
Following the exciting return of Shadow Raikou in September and Shadow Entei in October, the game heralds its final phase of the season with Shadow Suicune. This iconic Water-type Legendary Beast is set to dominate the weekends throughout November, presenting an excellent opportunity for trainers to catch one and harness its power with the ideal movesets tailored for competitive play.
Optimal Moveset for PvP
For trainers engaging in PvP battles, Shadow Suicune features a versatile moveset. The recommended setup includes Snarl as the Fast Move, complemented by Bubble Beam and Hydro Pump as Charged Moves.
Snarl is the preferred Fast Move due to its exceptional energy generation. However, alternatives like Ice Fang and Extrasensory are also available, offering valuable type coverage, albeit with less effectiveness in synergy with the Charged Moves.
For the first Charged Move, Bubble Beam is highly effective when paired with Snarl, as it allows frequent use and importantly provides a guaranteed Attack debuff. Additionally, its Same Type Attack Bonus (STAB) enhances its damage potential.
For the second Charged Move, trainers should opt for Hydro Pump, as it delivers substantial damage and synergizes well with Snarl, making it a wise choice for achieving one-hit knockouts (OHKOs).
Recommended Moveset for Raids
When it comes to PvE content, Shadow Suicune has a more straightforward moveset. Trainers should again utilize Snarl as the Fast Move, combined with Hydro Pump as the preferred Charged Move.
With its excellent energy gain and damage output, Snarl proves to be the optimal choice. For different coverage, Extrasensory can also be used to expand its versatility.
In Raids, Hydro Pump stands out as the best Charged Move due to its superior damage potential compared to the other options available.
