In truth, only Hikaru relied on Ai. The true Ai appeared to not have fallen into that type of love, while the real Hikaru was even more desperate for love than what was portrayed in the film. As for Hikaru, Ai was capable of taking care of herself. Their relationship had lasted for a while solely because she found it challenging to turn him down.

Based on Hikaru’s account, it can be inferred that Ai Hoshino did not reciprocate his feelings. He was the one desperately holding onto a woman who had turned him down. As a result, Hikaru grew resentful towards Ai and ultimately orchestrated her death. However, the actual version of events was more grounded and lacked the exaggerated emotions.
