In chapter 159 of Oshi no Ko, titled ‘Resonance,’ the story continued from the previous chapter with Fuyuko Niino apologizing to Ruby Hoshino for stabbing her. Her motive behind the attack was to prevent anyone from surpassing Ai as an idol, as it would make the deaths she caused seem meaningless. However, to her surprise, Ruby fought back, revealing that the knife had not actually pierced her stomach.

Immediately following, Ichigo Saitou grabbed Niino from behind and restrained her. In response, Akane Kurokawa removed her Ruby disguise and disclosed that she had been wearing a protective vest. Meanwhile, Ruby had already arrived at the concert venue, getting ready for her show.

Following that, Ichigo Saitou confronted Fuyuko Niino about her behavior. He was aware that some of the idols had relationships with fans, one of whom was Ryosuke Sugano, Niino’s boyfriend. However, after Ryosuke switched his allegiance to Ai, Niino may have struggled to cope, especially since Ryosuke ended his own life due to his love for Ai.

Despite this, the fact remained that Niino had already forgiven Ryosuke, thanks to Ai being the greatest idol of all time. It would have been strange for Niino to dislike her, especially since Ryosuke had willingly taken his own life after she instructed him to do so. As such, it was never about seeking revenge for Niino. All she truly desired was for Ai to remain the flawless and ultimate idol for eternity.

Upon being informed by Akane Kurokawa, Niino learned that Ai only wanted to be ordinary friends with her, as per Ruby’s request. This revelation brought tears to Niino’s eyes as she also longed for a simple friendship. In response, Akane questioned Niino about the individual responsible for persuading her and Ryosuke to commit the numerous crimes they had committed.

Oshi no Ko chapter 159 smoothly transitioned to B-Komachi’s concert, which included Kana Arima’s heartfelt farewell message to her fans. The manga then shifted focus to Hikaru Kamiki, who was tuning in to the concert’s live broadcast on his phone.

At that moment, Aqua Hoshino approached his father and expressed his desire to save Hikaru, just as his mother Ai had wished. However, it was too late, as Hikaru had already revealed himself to be a deceitful liar, only looking out for his own interests. In response, Hikaru Kamiki feigned confusion with his dark, starry eyes.
