In the previous installment, Aqua experienced a dream where Sarina had recovered from her illness and became a B-Komachi idol alongside Ai Hoshino. This vision prompted Aqua to reflect on his own existence and question whether he had made the right choices. In this moment of doubt, Crow Girl provided solace, reminding him of his identity as “Aqua Hoshino.”

According to the rumored spoilers for Oshi no Ko Chapter 164, the narrative will continue directly from the conclusion of the last chapter. Aqua and Crow Girl find themselves in a liminal space, a situation triggered by Crow Girl who seemingly tapped into Aqua’s consciousness to reveal the dream he experienced.

Aqua Hoshino, meanwhile, finds himself in a perilous state, feeling cold, suffocated, and in agony. As he reflects on the beautiful singing of B-Komachi, the thought of their performance brings him a moment of peace. Following the events of Chapter 164, initial leaks suggest that Aqua passes away with a serene smile.

The early spoilers then transition to a fishing boat located 20 kilometers from the crime scene, where a well-preserved body is discovered, preserved by the cold environment. Aqua’s meticulous planning appears to have outsmarted the police and the public, turning the tragic events surrounding Hikaru and Aqua’s demise into a sensational news story.

Upon hearing this news, Kana Arima is visibly shaken, her eyes turning completely black in disbelief. The narrative then shifts to Akane Kurokawa, who, upon learning of Aqua’s death, walks to the shore with flowers in hand. She recognizes Aqua’s “brilliant strategy”and contemplates the profound wisdom and determination behind his choice.

In her internal dialogue, Akane expresses her disbelief at Aqua’s willingness to go to such extremes for Ruby Hoshino’s future. Even after they parted on Christmas Day, she believed he would always return; he held hope and had no desire to perish. Thus, it was baffling to Akane that Aqua would willingly sacrifice himself.
