For those curious about the fate of Kaguya and Shirogane following their romantic battle, Oshi no Ko provides confirmation of the comical couple’s future.
Prior to the creation of Oshi no Ko, Aka Akasaka’s previous work, Kaguya Sama: Love Is War, caused a stir in the manga and anime community. Taking place in an elite school, the story follows the president and vice-president of the student council as they engage in a competitive battle for love.
Throughout the story, Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya engage in a series of psychological tactics to try and get the other to confess their feelings. Their fellow council members, oblivious to their ulterior motives, become pawns in their strategic maneuvers.
Despite being clever and hilariously absurd, Kaguya and Shirogane are still likable characters. This makes us root for the awkward teenagers to eventually get together, which they do by the end of the story.

What transpires after that? Will their relationship have a long-term happy outcome or will it come to a bittersweet yet true conclusion?
In Oshi no Ko Chapter 90.1, a four-page special in the middle of the Mainstay Arc, Kaguya unexpectedly makes a cameo appearance. However, she is no longer known as Kaguya Shinomiya. The ongoing manga reveals her as Kaguya Shirogane, confirming her marriage to Shirogane after the events of Kaguya Sama.
The chapter also uncovers that Kaguya has become a well-known photographer. She has previously captured Ruby’s photos, leaving a lasting impression on the young idol and making her eager to have Kaguya as her photographer once again.
This cameo not only solidifies Kaguya and Shirogane’s future, but also affirms that Akasaka’s two works – Kaguya Sama and Oshi no Ko – take place in the same world.
Despite the absence of a third season for Kaguya Sama, viewers can still enjoy the currently airing second season of Oshi no Ko.
