Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 12 Opening Events: The Miyazaki Trip Begins
The episode opens with a flashback featuring Gorou Amamiya and Sarina Tendouji at the Miyazaki hospital. Fast forward to the present, Ruby, Kana, and Mem-Cho receive a demo of their new original song.
Excitement fills the air as Mem-Cho shares her enthusiasm with Anemone, their music video director, who proposes filming a music video for the new track.
On the day of the trip, Kana is visibly unsettled by Akane’s presence, especially when Ruby expresses her excitement about having her brother’s girlfriend on board. This further dampens Kana’s spirits. Upon their arrival in Miyazaki, the group meets up with Anemone, engaging in a brief conversation about the town’s history and legends.
With the new B-Komachi group setting off to prepare for the music video shoot, Akane and Aqua find themselves alone. Akane suggests they explore the sights together.

In this episode, Aqua suggests they visit the town’s hospital, sharing its sentimental value as the birthplace of both him and Ruby. At the hospital, Aqua inquires about Gorou Amamiya, only to learn that he was presumed to have vanished after resigning.
Walking along the route Aqua once took with Ai during her pregnancy, he reflects on cherished memories. A crow’s call abruptly snaps him back to reality, prompting him and Akane to venture into the woods in search of Gorou’s remains; however, they find nothing at the cliff where Gorou met his tragic end.
After cryptically questioning Akane if remains from 15 years ago could still be present (presenting it as a lost pet), her response discourages him, making him ready to move on from the past.
Aqua then takes Akane to his former home, presenting it as a friend’s house. He shares that Gorou was born into tragedy, having lost his mother at a young age and raised by his grandparents, with a complicated relationship due to guilt surrounding his mother’s death.
The episode also delves into Gorou’s connection with Sarina, who seemed to be abandoned by her family during her final days. She gifted Gorou an Ai keyring as a keepsake and expressed her love for him before passing away.
A fleeting scene features the mysterious white-haired girl from previous episodes, reflecting on how both Sarina and Gorou lacked a true mother figure in their past lives and were ultimately guided to Ai, implying a deeper significance as the story unfolds.
As the focus shifts back to the music video shoot, after a day of filming outdoor scenes, the team proceeds to capture dance sequences in the studio. Aqua and Akane return to join the group, where Akane unexpectedly assists Kana in fixing her costume.
During the shoot, Akane advises Aqua to be more cautious about their dates, stressing the need for privacy to prevent any incidents, especially as Kana’s popularity as an idol continues to soar. Reflecting on the events involving Ai, Aqua agrees to be more cautious moving forward.
Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 12 Closing Events: Ruby Discovers Gorou’s Remains
As the episode concludes, Ruby and Akane decide to leave the set early to return to the inn. Along the way, a crow seizes the inn’s keys from Ruby, prompting them to chase after it.
While pursuing the crow, Ruby expresses her deep connection to the area and her aspiration to perform at the Dome, aiming to become a famous idol. She asks Akane for love advice, disclosing her crush and her ambition to gain popularity as part of her plan to reunite with him.
Eventually, Ruby reveals that the person she is crushing on is Gorou. Upon reaching the crow’s nest, they stumble upon a human skeleton clad in a doctor’s robe, accompanied by the Ai keyring Sarina gifted to Gorou.
The episode concludes with Ruby recognizing the keyring, leading her to grasp the tragic fate that befell Gorou.
