Oshi no Ko Season 2: Episode 5 Preview and Expectations

The official website for Oshi no Ko has released preview images for episode 5 of season 2, titled ‘Opening.’ The highly-anticipated episode is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, but fans were treated to a sneak peek days before its premiere. Fans around the world will be able to stream the new episode on HIDIVE.

In the last episode, Abiko and Goa collaborated to produce an amazing script for the stage play. However, the success of this script hinged on the actors’ skill in accurately portraying each scene. As a result, Aqua decides to improve his emotional acting abilities. Unfortunately, this triggers his PTSD. To help him, Akane takes Aqua to Gotanda, where she figures out his connection with Ai.

Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 5: Possible Alliance between Aqua, Akane, Taiki, and Kana

As depicted in the beginning of the anime, Aqua Hoshino and Akane Kurokawa were both taken aback by the impressive acting abilities and chemistry between Taiki Himekawa and Kana Arima. As a result, the next episode may expand on this and showcase the duo working together to overcome their opponents.

The preview image, which shows Akane appearing bothered by Taiki and Kana’s smug expressions, suggests that Aqua and Akane may seek assistance to enhance their acting skills. It is worth noting that Taishi Gotanda may play a larger role in the upcoming arc, and it is possible that the director will provide guidance to the two young actors.

As previewed, the upcoming episode will feature Sakuya Kamodshida, a 2.5D stage play actor, becoming angry with someone. In contrast, Melt Narushima will be feeling down about something. Given his previous struggles with his acting abilities, it is possible that Sakuya may criticize Melt in the upcoming episode.

In Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 5, it is revealed that both Ruby Hoshino and Minami Kotobuki will play significant roles in the upcoming episode. Given Aqua’s struggles with PTSD, it is possible that Ruby went to the stage play practice venue to check on her brother. Minami may have accompanied her in this effort.

As the rehearsal space lacks a stage, it is highly probable that the actors will have a dress rehearsal in the next episode before their debut performance.
