The premiere of Oshi No Ko’s second season has been confirmed for July 2024. The announcement was made during the Red Stage event at Anime Japan 2024, which took place at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan.

New Voice Cast Announced for Season 2
The primary factor contributing to the excitement for season 2, in addition to the reappearance of beloved characters, is the introduction of a new voice cast. Uchiyama Koki, known for his notable performances as Shigaraki in My Hero Academia and Tsukishima in Haikyuu!!, will take on the role of Himekawa Taiki. Kobayashi Yuusuke, recognized for his role as Senku in Dr. Stone, will lend his voice to Kamoshidi Sakuya.

The anime trailer showcases the actors rehearsing their lines for the play, with each of them holding scripts and props. In addition, they are seen alongside the characters they voice. Towards the end of the teaser, Aqua can be heard teasing Akane about losing to Kana.

Oshi no Ko: A Story About Idol Industry
Since April 2020, it has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump and will be adapted into an anime in 2023.
The narrative centers on Goro, a doctor who is reborn as the child of his beloved idol, Ai. Ai gives him the name Aquamarine and his twin sister, who is a reincarnation of one of Goro’s former patients, is named Ruby. Tragically, Ai is murdered by a stalker who was also responsible for Goro’s death. In his grief, Aquamarine vows to avenge his mother’s death at the hands of the stalker, while Ruby follows in her mother’s footsteps and pursues a career as an idol.
