The official staff announced on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 that Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World season 2 will be put on an indefinite hiatus. The fifth episode of the series, which was scheduled to air on Wednesday, will not be released and future episodes will also be delayed in order to maintain the production quality. The fourth episode of the anime was released on July 31, 2024.
Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World season 2 is the continuation of the initial season, which consisted of 12 episodes that were broadcasted from October 2020 to December 2020.

The team has released a statement stating that the series will be going on an indefinite hiatus in order to preserve the quality of the main storyline. The official team has expressed regret for any inconvenience this may cause and has also expressed gratitude for the continued support of fans.
In addition, the anime’s production committee has stated their commitment to collaborating with Kei Sazane (the original author), the editorial department, and the production studio in order to continue the production and provide fans with the best possible experience.
The release date for episode 5 of season 2 of Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World was initially scheduled for August 7, 2024. However, the most recent update states that the show will now be airing selected episodes from the first season every Wednesday in the same time slot.
The first three episodes of season 1 will be broadcasted on August 7, 14, and 21. After that, episode 5 from season 1 will air on August 28, followed by episodes 9-12 on September 4, 11, 18, and 25. The release of the Blu-ray for season 2 has been postponed until further notice.
The second season of Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World debuted on July 10, 2024, on various Japanese channels including AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS11, ABC TV, and the d Anime Store streaming service. Originally scheduled for a 2023 release, the sequel was pushed back to July 2024 due to production challenges. Worldwide streaming of the anime is available on Crunchyroll, with the exception of Asian regions.
The plot of the fantasy anime centers around Iska, a talented swordsman hailing from a technologically advanced empire, and Aliceliese, the princess of the Nebulis Imperial court. Despite being adversaries, they are both deeply influenced by one another’s admirable traits.
