Over 200 Male K-pop Idols Implicated in Sex-Crime Chatroom? Truth Revealed

Recently, there has been a major uproar in South Korea following the exposure of a Telegram chatroom called the “New Nth Room”, where numerous men share hidden recordings of women in their vicinity and even create fake pornographic videos using deepfake technology.

Amidst the investigation, it was revealed that former NCT member Taeil was involved in a sex crime, causing speculation about his connection to the “New Nth room”.

There is already speculation that a list containing more than 200 male K-pop idols who have been involved in the “Nth room”case will soon be exposed. This has caused anxiety among many fans, as they fear their favorite celebrities may also be implicated.

Surprisingly, there is never a list to be concerned about.

The sole official acknowledgement of celebrities participating in sex chatrooms was made in 2020, when the original Nth Room scandal came to light. This case involved the exploitation of minors and women through blackmailing. However, no specific number, such as “over 200 idols,”was mentioned in relation to this matter.

Hence, although there is a chance that certain idols may be implicated in the Nth room scandal, the claim that there is a roster of more than 200 male K-pop idols involved is entirely false.

Furthermore, the police have stated that the accusations against Taeil are not related to the new Nth room.
