Overwatch 2: 500,000 Cheaters Banned and Worst M&K Abusers on Console

The developers of Overwatch 2 have acknowledged the presence of cheaters in the game, and are taking steps to combat the issue by banning over 500,000 accounts.

Ever since its release, Overwatch 2 has been plagued by cheaters who exploit wall hacks and aimbots to cause chaos in ranked matches.

It has been revealed that the developers have been diligently combatting the issue of cheating, leading to the banning of over 500,000 accounts.

In a recent blog post, Blizzard proudly announced that they have taken action against over 500,000 accounts for cheating. Additionally, they have also suspended or banned more than 40,000 accounts that were found to be intentionally grouping up with cheating accounts.

The developers have stated that they are currently working on additional anti-cheat measures and actively seeking ways to eliminate cheating tools like aimbots in order to prevent cheating before it occurs.

The Overwatch team has been stepping up to police cheating.

Blizzard also added that their attempts to address the issue of mouse and keyboard users on console have been successful, resulting in the banning of thousands of the most egregious offenders.

The developers clarified that individuals who try to employ an unauthorized peripheral will be restricted to the PC input pool for all unranked game modes and will also lose access to Competitive Play. This measure has significantly enhanced the overall gameplay experience for console players in the ranked mode.

Despite years of ximmers causing issues for Overwatch players on Xbox and PlayStation, it appears that the problem has finally been resolved, leading to more fair matches at the highest ranks.

These enhancements were announced by the OW2 team for the avoid as teammate feature, resulting in a significant improvement in the overall game quality. This provides players with increased control over their team composition.

With the arrival of Season 12 on August 20, these updates have the potential to decrease the number of cheaters, making it the season with the lowest amount of cheating thus far.
