As Season 10 begins, Overwatch 2’s latest event and theme, Mirrorwatch, introduces an alternative version of the in-game universe where Talon agents are members of Overwatch and vice versa.
Just like any other seasonal event, Season 10 will feature a limited-time game mode called Mirrorwatch. Therefore, here is everything you need to know about the Mirrorwatch event.
When Does the Overwatch 2 Mirrorwatch Event Begin?
According to the Season 10 blog post, the Mirrorwatch game mode of Overwatch 2 will be available from April 23 to May 13. This will follow the temporary preview of Clash and Hanaoka.
During the Mirrorwatch event, a majority of the skins will also be obtainable through the Battle Pass. The Battle Pass will be available from April 16, the start of Season 10, until the end of the season.
Overwatch 2 Mirrorwatch: Details of the Limited-time Game Mode
The game mode, which was teased in Season 10’s trailer, will involve Talon agents joining Overwatch and Overwatch heroes becoming members of Talon.
The game mode will be set in a modified version of Watchpoint Gibraltar, featuring altered versions of hero abilities as a result of the switch-up.
The swap has caused significant changes to the kits of numerous heroes. Doomfist now has a shield when blocking, Mercy has a new damage ability, Sombra’s ultimate has been re-tweaked, and other adjustments have been made.
Interestingly, the current game mode is similar to the April Fools one, but this time the modifications are not meant to be comical.
Although these updates specifically pertain to Mirrorwatch mode, it is possible that the developers are subtly testing new abilities for future hero revamps.
Overwatch 2 Mirrorwatch: Customization Options
The trailer reveals that a significant amount of Mirrorwatch skins will be obtainable through the Season 10 Battle Pass. Additionally, certain skins from the event, specifically the Talon skins, will be offered for purchase in the shop.
Moreover, players will have access to various other items such as name cards, sprays, and souvenirs by completing challenges and purchasing the Battle Pass.
