Overwatch 2 Players Confused as Developers Make Hidden Change to Venture

Amid frustrations about the character’s limited selection of skins, Overwatch 2 players have spotted a subtle change to Venture that may have gone unnoticed by some.

Despite joining the game during Season 10 with a unique move-set that distinguished them from the expanding cast, Venture’s lack of skin options was a major disappointment for the community.

At the moment, players have the ability to equip the Damage hero with seven skins, but six of these are simply recolors of the original design.

The community has expressed their frustrations, prompting a response from Game Director Aaron Keller on social media. In a post on Twitter and X, the developer announced that a highly anticipated skin will be released for Venture during Season 14 of Overwatch 2.

The prolonged wait for the highly anticipated content has left many fans dissatisfied, especially those who have recently experienced a minor change in the Venture that only adds to their disappointment.

MxieValez, a Reddit user, posted two screenshots on the Overwatch subreddit showcasing a recently added pose for Venture in the Hero Gallery. The previous pose featured the character’s right side, whereas the updated one highlights their left side.

“In the comments section of the post, one Overwatch 2 fan joked, “Ladies and Gentlemen, Venture has reached the age of 23 degrees.”

“Another Redditor responded scornfully, claiming that overwatch had finally been fixed by the group’s efforts.”

In jest, a user responded to a quip about whether or not Venture fans were finally satisfied by saying, “Well, they must have remembered Venture’s existence before Season 14, so I suppose I’m quite content!”

Numerous other reactions jest that although the protagonist has yet to obtain fresh skins, Venture enthusiasts can rely on Blizzard to physically rotate the current content.

Despite the mocking comments, there are some fans who do appreciate the improvement in Venture’s updated pose. In fact, one commenter even praised the change, stating that it appeared “better”and “more dynamic.”

Despite teasing a new skin for Season 14, the developers of Overwatch 2 have not yet provided any specific details about what fans can anticipate from the future of Venture.
