Players of Overwatch 2 have recently uncovered the most effective way to utilize Lifeweaver technology in order to gain an advantage on the high ground. However, this method may actually be too extreme and not as beneficial as initially thought.
Thanks to the balances and changes implemented in Season 12, Lifeweaver’s Platform Petal received a mini rework. As a result, it is no longer limited to a single use and will descend if no player is standing on it. This allows for multiple uses until the duration of the ability ends.
Despite players’ efforts to adapt to the modified ability, it appears to be causing some issues. A gamer has even managed to exploit its power and reach the moon. While gaining the upper hand is enjoyable, this level of elevation may be excessive.

In a widely discussed post on the Overwatch subreddit, a player demonstrated a glitch involving Mei and Lifeweaver that allows for multiple platform elevations and can bring players to an extremely high position on the map.
To successfully execute this maneuver, a Mei must first stand on the Platform and raise it by one, then quickly erect a wall on the Platform to raise it even higher. Finally, utilizing an Ice Block will elevate the platform to another level.
If you choose to execute this prohibited technique, you will essentially gain a full view of the entire map, making it the ultimate high ground advantage.
Despite the fact that the player who demonstrated the new technology dismissed it as “useless”, there were many who disagreed.
“To be honest, a player responded by saying that Widow is not completely useless as it allows for some unique and unconventional angles.”
Another commenter jokingly remarked that the glitch was a super useless and fun little quirk, and they hoped the developers would simply brush it off and not bother fixing it.
Many individuals shared their opinions on the various impressive combinations that could be executed from such a great height. These included Mauga slamming down from the sky, Reinhardt charging in the most unbelievable ways, Winstons descending from above, and Cassidy unleashing the highest of high noons – the potential truly knows no bounds.
Despite the fact that many have pointed out the potential damage fall-off at that height, it will not deter you from pulling off the most insane Rein shatter clip imaginable. Although it may not have a significant impact on the enemies’ HP, it will not stop you from attempting it.
