Overwatch 2: Players Praise Juno as Best-Designed Support Hero Since Ana

Juno, the newest support hero in Overwatch 2, is receiving high praise for being the most well-designed support since Ana in Overwatch 1.

During a limited-time weekend preview in July, Blizzard allowed players to experience Juno firsthand. Fans quickly took notice of the hero’s well-balanced kit and were impressed by the range of tools available to her.

Despite their powerful kits, several Overwatch supports have caused controversy among players. This is especially true for Baptiste’s Immortality Field and Kiriko’s Suzu, as their basic abilities have received criticism for their high value.

Despite not possessing tools that disrupt or revolutionize the meta, Juno’s capabilities have not been affected by the same issue. In fact, players have been commending the hero for being highly rewarding.

After trying her out, content creator Samito promptly gave Juno his seal of approval.

“Juno is an incredibly thought-provoking character with no auto bail out abilities, impressive output, and exceptional decision-making skills. Her ultimate ability is simply insane,”he commented. “In my opinion, Overwatch characters should all strive to be like Juno. I hope that future support characters, following in the footsteps of Ana, are designed with her in mind.”

Twitch streamer Flats also expressed the same sentiment, stating on Twitter that “this hero is truly enjoyable to play and it’s very satisfying to successfully hit shots and use abilities.”

Reddit users also created a Juno appreciation post to show their appreciation for the developers’ design choices for the character.

“One person commented that she could potentially be the first OW support hero to not be fundamentally flawed or require a major adjustment upon release.”

“Another individual also expressed their gratitude that the Support character does not have an overpowered self-saving ability, as it makes survival through mobility and positioning more enjoyable and fair.”

“Another person added, “With Juno’s incredible design, I believe the game would greatly benefit if all supports had a similar aesthetic.”

Despite the hero having some drawbacks or aspects that the community desires to see changed, it should not be overlooked that there are still areas of disagreement. One debated issue is whether she should have the ability to headshot with her weapon in order to elevate the level of skill required.

Overwatch 2 players are loving Juno.

Additional recommendations have been made by users to enhance her Hyper Ring and extend its range, allowing her teammates to fully utilize her exceptional speed boosts.

With the official release of Juno in Season 12, the developers will have ample time to make any necessary adjustments before her launch. Despite some minor critiques, it is evident that the community has wholeheartedly embraced the newest hero.
