Overwatch 2 Player’s Sister Continuously Banned for Poor Gameplay

A player of Overwatch 2 has expressed frustration as their younger sister continuously receives bans due to other players mass reporting her for being “terrible at the game”.

A player made a post on the Overwatch subreddit that gained widespread attention, seeking advice from the community on how to prevent their sister from frequently getting banned due to other players reporting her for “throwing”.

The player’s primary concern was that their sister, who had only been playing video games for a few weeks, was struggling with Overwatch 2 and receiving a large number of reports from her teammates due to her lack of experience.

According to reports, their sister has faced several bans, including two within a single week, as other players accuse her of deliberately underperforming due to her consistently low stats.

“It’s unfortunate that her account gets penalized and we have to switch games, especially since she’s genuinely giving her best effort,”the player expressed regarding their sister’s banned account.

The Overwatch 2 community came together to offer helpful advice, with many suggesting that she give a warning in the lobby chat about being new to prevent other players from reporting her.

One more tip suggested by the Redditors was for the new player to face off against AI opponents. Although it may not be as enjoyable, it could give his sister the opportunity to become accustomed to the pace of Overwatch.

The original poster was advised by others to avoid playing with her as they were using a PC, while she was using a Nintendo Switch. This resulted in her being matched up against PC players.

It is recommended to continue practicing regularly, whether it be against bots or other players. Additionally, it is advisable to introduce her to simpler characters such as Moira or Mercy.
