Overwatch 2 Tank players rejoice over mid-Season 10 buffs but everyone else is hesistant

The mid-Season 10 buffs for Overwatch 2 have brought great joy to Tank players, as they now have significantly improved survivability. However, this has caused some hesitation among DPS and Support players.

The developers of Overwatch 2 have provided players with a preview of the upcoming changes in the May 14 patch. This latest update will include significant buffs to the Tank role, completely revamping it.

The tanks’ headshot damage will be reduced by 25%, while their knockback resistance will be increased to 50% with a buff. The armor damage will also be adjusted to match that of Overwatch 1, and the new health recovery change will be particularly advantageous for tanks.

In addition, Junker Queen and Wrecking Ball are also receiving extra buffs, resulting in substantial upgrades for the entire tank roster.

These updates have brought joy to Tank players, with many describing it as a much-needed improvement to the previously labeled “miserable”role in recent Seasons. However, Support and DPS players remain doubtful about the changes.

“In a Reddit thread discussing Junker Queen’s new changes, a player commented that one can use other abilities while shouting on the Queen to make her heads rise up.”

“According to a tweet from LhCloudy, a professional player and main Tank, Reinhardt will no longer be bullied by Zen kick as the reinbros continue to be victorious.”

Naturally, the recent changes to tanks have caused hesitation among players in other roles. According to Rakattack, a professional player and support main, it’s surprising to see tank players constantly advocating for overpowered buffs.

Streamer and DPS main Samito expressed disappointment in the upcoming changes to Overwatch, stating on Twitter that tanks receiving a 25% damage reduction from headshots is one of the least enjoyable updates ever implemented.

Rest assured, the true impact of these changes will remain unknown until the update is officially released. However, it can be confidently stated that the Tank role has been restored to its previous status of greatness.
