<p>A recent bug in Overwatch 2 resulted in a player spawning on a different map, completely separate from their teammates during a competitive match.
Since the game’s launch, Overwatch has seen its fair share of perplexing bugs. While some have led to funny moments, others have significantly affected gameplay.
In this case, one unfortunate player encountered a serious issue while playing in a competitive setting. According to a Reddit thread shared by a teammate, the player controlling Zarya found themselves inexplicably spawning in a different area of the Busan map.
The rest of the team was clustered together in the Downtown spawn, while the solitary Zarya stood isolated in the Sanctuary, which, despite being part of Busan, is a distinct map location. “My tank just casually spawned on a different map in competitive,” the clip’s poster remarked.

This situation certainly put the team at a disadvantage with only four members. Yet, it didn’t stop some players from making light of the scenario.
“‘Bro where is our tank you’re throwing’” joked one participant in the thread, while another quipped, “Now THIS is a tank gap.”
One user remarked, “Zarya is so confused,” to which another replied humorously, “Why did my whole team DC?”
Several users noted that this glitch has persisted since the early days of Overwatch 1 and has happened to them previously as well.
Fortunately, the situation was eventually resolved. The user who shared the footage mentioned that they suggested the tank player eliminate themselves to respawn in the appropriate location. Thankfully, this tactic worked, allowing them to reunite with their team in the match.
This is not the only major bug players have faced. Earlier, there was a glitch that made it nearly impossible to win against Venture, along with another that placed players against their own team mid-match.
