Overwatch 2 Unvaults Extremely Rare Legendary OWL Skins

Overwatch 2 is reintroducing several Legendary OWL skins that many thought were gone forever.

Blizzard’s esports venture with the Overwatch League may not have been commercially successful, but it did create some memorable skins for many heroes in the game.

While Overwatch esports continues with the Overwatch Champions Series, numerous high-quality skins were crafted for the OWL. Fortunately, players who previously missed the chance to unlock these skins will now have another opportunity.

On September 10, Blizzard announced the unvaulting of select OWL skins that will be available for purchase with OWL Tokens. In addition to that, these skins will also be offered in the main shop as bundles, enabling players to buy them using Overwatch 2 coins.

These skin bundles will be sold on a limited-time schedule from September 10 to October 18.

Jjonak’s “Zen-Nakji” Legendary skin is finally making a comeback.

  • September 10 through September 24: All-Stars Unvault Bundle featuring All-Star Mercy, All-Star Reinhardt, All-Star Lúcio, and All-Star D.Va
  • October 1 through October 8: Overwatch League Legends Mega Bundle with All-Star Tracer, All-Star Genji, Zen-Nakji Zenyatta, and Good and Evil Echo
  • October 8 through October 15: Overwatch League 2022 Tournament Bundle comprising Luchador Reaper, Royal Knight Mercy, Happi Genji, and Clockwork Zenyatta

However, it should be noted that not every OWL skin is part of this return. Some notable exclusions include Midas Roadhog, the Alien Zarya skin associated with the disgraced MVP Sinatraa, and Mei’s MMA MM-Mei skin.

It remains uncertain if Blizzard intends to bring these missing cosmetics back in the future, but their absence opens up the opportunity for a second unvaulting later on.

In addition to the Legendary skins, OWL and Contenders home and away skins will also be available, along with various other in-game items.

This unvaulting announcement follows shortly after OW2 revealed the return of another iconic skin, Oni Genji, though players could only access it by purchasing physical merchandise from Blizzard’s online store.
