On July 23rd, the trailer for Season 2 was released, showcasing the reunion of Sunja (Kim Min-ha) and Hansoo (Lee Min-ho) in 1945 Osaka, along with some new characters. The background music for the trailer was the song “Viva La Vida,”performed by BLACKPINK’s main vocalist Rosé. This version of “Viva La Vida”will not only be used in the trailer, but also as the ending song for the final episode of “Pachinko 2,”leaving viewers with a lingering feeling.

The TV series “Pachinko”is an adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name from The New York Times. It follows the journey of a Korean immigrant family through the perspective of the mother, Sunja, who leaves her home to seek a better life. The story spans from the early 1900s in Korea to the 1980s in Japan. The second season focuses on Sunja’s struggles to protect her family during the outbreak of World War II in Osaka in 1945.
