Palworld is set to launch on mobile devices as the development team behind PUBG Mobile takes on the task under a new agreement with its parent company, Krafton.
Just days after the stealth release of Palworld on PlayStation, the popular survival game is making its way to mobile platforms as well. Krafton announced a licensing agreement with Pocketpair on October 2, outlining a collaboration for a mobile adaptation.
The PUBG Studios team is leading the effort to “faithfully reinterpret and implement the original game’s fun elements to suit the mobile environment,”according to a loose translation of the announcement.
It’s important to note that the mobile port is still in the early stages of development, so fans should temper their expectations regarding an imminent release. Nevertheless, it’s clear that Palworld is expanding its presence, with no indications of slowing down despite its ongoing legal disputes with Nintendo.

Just weeks before this announcement, on September 19, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company filed a joint lawsuit against Palworld’s developers, PocketPair. Since the game’s successful launch, numerous comparisons have been made to Pokémon due to visual similarities, but the lawsuit goes beyond mere design issues.
In fact, as noted by a legal expert, the lawsuit primarily addresses alleged patent infringements that are believed to involve gameplay mechanics.
PocketPair responded promptly, stating they had not yet been informed of the particular infringements mentioned in the lawsuit.
Despite the heavy implications of the legal action, the developers have vowed to continue their efforts, declaring they “will do our utmost for our fans and to ensure that indie game developers are not hindered or discouraged from pursuing their creative ideas.”
In the weeks that followed the lawsuit, Palworld has gained significant attention at Tokyo Game Show and even made a surprise release on the PS5. With the confirmation of a mobile version now in development, it is evident that PocketPair is committed to ongoing support for their game.
