Palworld players perplexed by ubiquitous wands

Palworld players are confused about the presence of wands in every chest they open in the game.

In addition to Pals, a treasure trove of chests is scattered across the world of Pocketpair’s hit survival game. All contain their share of valuable items, from Skill Fruits that strengthen Pals to Blueprints that unlock recipes for better equipment.

Some chests prove more beneficial than others, of course, but this only increases the need to farm them. Strangely enough, players have noticed something rather strange in their travels to Palworld. Most, if not all, chests include at least one specific item.

Players confused by wands in Palworld chests

A user had a question for his fellow players on the Palworld subreddit: “Why does every chest contain wands?”

The Redditor then asked if France is considered a canon part of the open-world adventure, since “every single chest I’ve ever opened has wands for no reason…”

Of course, Palworld players wasted no time sharing their comedic theories and thoughts about the game’s wand-filled chests.

A fan theory suggests an unseen baker might be responsible. The user explained, “I believe there is an invisible baker walking around handing out bread to all the chests.”

Another person asked the following question about why French bread always appears in Palworld coffers: “The French left all their possessions behind when they retreated from the Pals invasion.”

Others, just as confused as the original poster, have shared how constantly receiving bread can become frustrating when opening chests. One Redditor wrote, “I have to admit. It really starts to annoy me when I clear Lv40 dungeons for manuals and all I get are wands, gold, and souls.”

Palworld isn’t the first RPG to constantly bombard players with mostly useless food items. As one user put it, the author “would love perfectly fresh, thousands of years old apples in Skyrim.”
