At the Triple-I Initiative Showcase held today, several upcoming titles were announced, including updates for existing games. Among these announcements was the teaser trailer for the Pal Arena, the PVP arena in the highly anticipated game Palworld.
Despite its short 15-second length, the teaser revealed something that Palworld players have been eagerly waiting for since the game first came out in January – a PVP mode. The trailer shows two Pal trainers with three of their selected Pals in what appears to be a compact arena.
It seems that players have the ability to manipulate their characters during the battles between their three Pals and the opponent’s chosen three. Trainers can assist their team by attacking the enemy’s Pals, but there is no indication that they can directly attack opposing Trainers. Essentially, it is a one-on-one battle with three NPC allies on either side.
Currently, not many specifics are known about the Pal Arena, such as the possibility of switching out Pals during a battle or the inclusion of larger game modes. However, we anticipate that Pocket Pair will reveal more details as the launch date nears.
The release date for the Pal Arena update in Palworld is set for Summer 2024. Most recently, the game introduced its first Raid Boss update with version 0.2.0.6.
