Park Gyu-ri’s Surgery For Injuries Right Before Kara’s Comeback

On July 14th, Park Gyu-ri shared a photo on her X account with the caption, “I’ll be undergoing surgery tomorrow and I could use the support of my loved ones.”She also added, “I’m excited for what’s to come.”

The recently released image captures Park Gyu-ri’s toes as she rests in her hospital room. In response to her update, netizens left comments such as, “Wishing you a successful surgery, Goddess Gyu-ri,””We hope for your speedy recovery without any complications,”and “Sending you well wishes for a successful surgery and a return with a smile.”

On July 13th, Park Gyu-ri’s agency, Big Boss Entertainment, announced that she had recently sustained a cheekbone and orbital fracture while attending a personal event. She had already sought medical attention and underwent a comprehensive examination.

The medical staff advised that surgery should be performed, taking into account the location of the injury. They estimated that it would take approximately 4-5 weeks for Park Gyu-ri to fully recover from the operation after the examination.

After thorough deliberation, both the actress and our company have reached a decision that she should refrain from engaging in excessive activities during her treatment and instead prioritize her recovery. As a result, the planned activities for July will not be taking place as scheduled.

The agency also assured, “We will prioritize the health and safety of the actress and make every effort to aid in Park Gyu-ri’s speedy recovery.”

Park Gyu-ri is gearing up for her comeback with Kara. The group is set to make their return to the music scene on July 24th with the release of their digital single “I Do I Do” . This highly anticipated song comes after a hiatus of one year and 8 months, following the release of their special album “MOVE AGAIN” in November 2022. As a result, fans both in Korea and around the world are eagerly anticipating their comeback.

Despite the setback of Park Gyu-ri’s injury two weeks before the comeback, Kara is still planning to release their new song in late July. However, there is a possibility that her absence for treatment and recovery may affect their promotional activities.
