On January 9, a report from Herald POP revealed that actress Park Gyu-young has decided to cancel her scheduled appearances, initially set for January 10 at Incheon International Airport. This included a media event focused on her airport fashion, which has also been canceled. Despite these changes, her departure from the airport remains confirmed.
Saram Entertainment, her agency, clarified that the decision was made due to scheduling conflicts and was not connected to any recent controversies related to her current projects.
Park Gyu-young has recently garnered significant attention for her portrayal of Kang No-eul in the hit Netflix series “Squid Game 2.” However, she found herself at the center of controversy on January 8 when she posted an image on her social media that many speculated might contain spoilers for the upcoming “Squid Game 3.” This incident has led to discussions about potential implications for the series.
Though she promptly removed the post, the image showcased a scene not featured in “Squid Game 2,” heightening speculation regarding possible revelations about the third installment.
In response to the backlash, her agency noted, “As the content was posted on the actress’s personal social media, we cannot provide clarification. We appreciate your understanding and recommend awaiting confirmation in ‘Squid Game 3.’”
Meanwhile, fans can currently stream “Squid Game 2” on Netflix, while anticipation builds for “Squid Game 3,” which is expected to premiere later this year. The show’s director has hinted that the release date may arrive “sooner than you expect.” Stay tuned for more updates.
