“Reflecting on that time, Park Myung-soo shared, “Jessica, formerly a member of Girls’ Generation, was unable to participate due to her busy personal schedule. In her place, a girl with a guitar appeared. It was none other than IU, who had just debuted at the time.”

The broadcaster recalled, “I asked IU, ‘Who are you?’ and requested, ‘Bring Jessica here’. IU still remembers our conversation and responded by reassuring me that she understood the situation and that it was acceptable.”

Park Myung-soo once again expressed his apologies to IU, stating, “I want to apologize to you once again. I am deeply sorry for any reason. IU, I am truly sorry.”

Despite Park Myung-soo’s inquiry about her identity, IU remained unfazed as she confidently introduced herself as a “new singer.”Her self-assuredness paid off as she went on to garner recognition for her exceptional singing abilities and establish herself as a thriving solo artist. Park Myung-soo has since proudly boasted about his strong bond with IU.
