On October 13, the YouTube channel “Fairy Jaehyung”released a video titled “Park Seo-joon… So Intense.”

In this engaging video, Park Seo-joon addressed the question, “What motivated you to enlist in the military at such an early stage?” He replied, “I was at a standstill. Lacking connections made me feel like an ‘influence underdog’.”

Reflecting on his early career, Park Seo-joon admitted he felt quite lost. He remarked, “It was really daunting. I questioned my ability to continue acting. Therefore, I decided, ‘I should complete my military service first’,” the actor revealed.

Following his discharge from military service, Park Seo-joon recounted how Kim Soo-hyun played a pivotal role in helping him sign with an agency.

He explained, “A mutual friend was acquainted with Kim Soo-hyun and reached out to him for assistance. Soo-hyun was more than willing to connect me with the agency, and on the day of my visit, they immediately discussed a potential contract.”

Grateful for Kim Soo-hyun’s assistance, Park Seo-joon became part of KeyEast. He reminisced about that significant moment, saying, “The CEO handed me the contract confidently, stating, ‘This is a standard agreement. If you have any doubts, consult a lawyer.’ At that time, I was unfamiliar with the process, so I told them I’d review it and get back. Everything was quite new for me, and I was in awe of the size of the company.”

Nevertheless, Park Seo-joon emphasized that joining the agency did not eliminate all his difficulties.

“Even after becoming part of the company, numerous challenges remained. As a newcomer, there were limited chances available. During that period, the top three broadcasting networks dominated the scene, so the number of projects was minimal, and auditions attracted thousands of hopefuls,” he elaborated.
