The latest Baldur’s Gate 3 hotfix patch addresses even more post-patch 6 issues and brings fixes to Xbox. So here’s everything that’s coming to Hotfix 22.
Baldur’s Gate 3 received a new update with the release of Hotfix 22 patch.
It marks the fifth update to the game since Patch 6 last month. This major update introduced quite a few bugs in addition to its acclaimed gameplay improvements, including characters behaving strangely and sometimes spoiling story content.
Here’s everything that Hotfix 22 changes in Baldur’s Gate 3.
What’s changing with Hotfix 22 in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Like other post-Patch 6 updates, Hotfix 22 fixes some issues around Minthara. The Drow Companion had many bugs, often repeating dialogue at the wrong time, and this update should prevent her from constantly sharing the same thoughts about Gayle.
She also addresses the unintentional breakup for those playing as Dark Urges, with Larian confirming that a controversial dialogue change with Minthara was unintentional.
Also, the latest update finally brings Hotfixes 20 and 21 to Xbox. Larian previously confirmed that hotfixes would take a little longer to arrive on this platform due to a crash bug that needed to be addressed first. This also means that cross-saves with Xbox and other platforms should work as expected again.

CRASHES AND BLOCKERS
- Fixed a crash caused by the game attempting to access the duration of a condition on a character without conditions set.
- Fixed conditions sometimes trying to get their duration from the source entity instead of the target entity.
- Fixed potential internal crashes on Xbox when suspending the game (for example, when suspending the console or loading another game), causing it to restart when you returned to it.
IU
- Improved messages for sync and cross-save by indicating when a cross-save sync has failed and adding an option to try again. Also prevents save and cross-save messages from appearing for secondary local players.
- Voice chat will no longer overlap the split-screen mini-map.
- Fixed the “Another player is joining” pop-up not triggering while the host has a panel open on Xbox, potentially preventing the player from joining the game.
