The start of the year has come at EA SPORTS as the developers have just revealed the content of the new update #7 ofEA FC 24. Everything you need to know.
EA has announced that new EA FC 24 update #7 will be available soon. This update will be downloadable starting Wednesday, January 17 for many gaming platforms, such as PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
With this new update, the developers have fixed some gameplay issues that had been identified in the Ultimate Team and Volta, while making some fixes to the audio and video components.
The most important aspects of this update seem to target certain passes, such as lofted and precise passes as well as automatic player changes.

Ultimate Team
Fixed the following issues:
- The Objectives notification icon was not always visible after exiting and re-entering Ultimate Team.
- The Team Battles menu did not display a competition timer.
- Removed replacements unnecessarily listed in SBC requirements.
- Sometimes SBC requirements displayed duplicate club names.
- Some Objectives did not show their completion deadline.
- After claiming an Objective reward, the notification icon was sometimes still present.
- Opening Stadium Item Packs in Ultimate Team resulted in an unwanted animation with alt text.
- Fixed an issue that could affect the selection of Evolution Player Items.
- Sometimes the Objectives notification icon did not appear as expected.
- A stability issue could occur when interacting with an empty team.
- [PS5/XBSX|S only] Due to a rare UI flow, the Team menu shortcut was not working as expected.
- [PS5 only] Under certain specific camera settings, the broadcast was not always displayed after a goal in Division Rivals.
- [PS4/XB1 only] When obtaining a certain number of red cards in a friendly survival match, it was not possible to skip the post-match screens.
Gameplay
Changes made:
- Reduced the accuracy of Lobby Passes and Precise Lobby Passes when taken from extreme angles.
- Improved the responsiveness of requested Precise Passes.
- Slightly reduced the maximum speed of Rolled Deep Passes.
- Increased the maximum trajectory height of Lobby Passes and Precise Lobby Passes when taken from extreme angles.
- Fixed the following issues:
- A requested Ground Pass could sometimes result in an unwanted animation.
- In certain situations, a requested Deep Pass could be weaker and less precise than expected.
- Sometimes a Physical Tackle could be unintentionally performed on an attacker without the ball.
- Improved the automatic switching logic when selecting which defender to switch during certain Lobbed Deep Passes.
- Improved player switching logic when two or more users are on the same team.
- In certain specific situations, an AI teammate could attempt to control the ball following a shot requested by the user.
- Improved the consistency of a Secondary Contain request when locked to a player.
- In rare cases, the ball physics did not behave as expected after hitting the post.
- In certain rare cases following a requested pass, the ball carrier could lose control of the ball while crossing it.
- Further improvement to referee logic when determining offside calls after deflections.
- Fixed various issues in Technical Games affecting areas such as progression and consistency.
- [Switch only] A powerful shot could sometimes send the ball through the net.
TIME FOOTBALL
Fixed the following issues:
- When changing outfits, some tattoos could display an alternate image.
- Sometimes in VOLTA FOOTBALL, custom controller settings did not apply.
- [Switch only] A powerful shot could sometimes send the ball through the goal net.
General, Audio and Visual
- Changes made:
- Updated some kits, balls, gloves, boots, billboards, trophies, tifos, stadium themes, mascots, VIP areas, tattoos, accessories, pre/post match scenes and badges.
- Added and updated a total of 90 player heads. They will become visible after a server update.
