The Final Shape presented Destiny 2 players with the Pathfinder, a new system that has replaced Bounties. This updated system follows a similar format of distributing challenges, but with the added convenience of being accessible directly from the player’s Directory. This feature eliminates the need for excessive travel.
Steps to access the Pathfinder
The Pathfinder can be accessed via the Vanguard, Gambit, or Crucible menu.
- Access the map.
- Visit Destinations.
- Choose one from the options of Vanguard, Gambit or Crucible.
- The Pathfinder menu can be found at the bottom-left corner of your screen.
Understanding Pathfinder Progression
The Pathfinder consists of 20 nodes, each of which can be unlocked by completing the designated objectives. This not only rewards players with XP, but also works towards the ultimate goal of unlocking the final prize.
The Pathfinder promotes a strategic approach to the game. Your goal should be to unlock nodes and trace a path to the end. Seek out the most effective method to conquer challenges and reach the end point.
Rewards
Ritual Pathfinders is the name of the group.
Upon the first completion of the week, you will be rewarded with the following benefits.
- Prime Engram
- 150x Bright Dust
- Enhancement Prism
- 25000 Challenger XP
After receiving the Path Completion Rewards, resetting the menu will result in a reduction of rewards.
- After the initial reset, XP will continue to decrease by 4000 until the eighth cycle.
- After the eighth run, the amount of Bright Dust was reduced from 150x to 80x.
Pathfinders to the Destination
By completing all objectives, you will earn 25 times the Vendor Reputation and 4000 Challenger XP. The rewards for each run are as follows:
- After first completion:
- Exclusive Exotic
- Tier 3 Engram for Pale Heart gear
- Vendor Reputation rank-up
- 25000 Challenger XP
- After second completion:
- Exclusive Exotic
- Focusable Pale Heart Engram
- 375 Vendor Reputation
- 25000 Challenger XP
- After third completion:
- Focusable Pale Heart Engram
- 375 Vendor Reputation
- 25000 Challenger XP
- After fourth completion:
- World Legendary Engram
- 150 Vendor Reputation
- 4000 Challenger XP
Destination Pathfinders
Destination Pathfinders is an alternative version of Ritual Pathfinders that becomes accessible once The Final Shape campaign has been completed. However, unlike Ritual Pathfinders, it can only be completed within the Pale Heart area. Additionally, the rewards for completing objectives may differ from those of Ritual Pathfinders.
The Pathfinder undergoes a weekly reset, meaning your progress will not be saved. However, upon manually resetting, you will receive a new and unique set of objectives.
