PENTAGON Hongseok Discusses Why He Can’t Talk About Yanan + Update About Yuto

During his recent Instagram Stories, Hongseok caused confusion among K-pop fans when he talked about PENTAGON’s connection with Yanan and Yuto.

Despite the departure of all members except Hui, Jinho, and Shinwon from Cube Entertainment, K-pop fans have expressed their worries about the group’s future and have fueled speculations of disbandment.

Despite this, the members have consistently reassured the Universe (PENTAGON fandom) that they will remain together as a group, while also dedicating themselves to individual projects and pursuits.

Despite PENTAGON remaining a group, fans are expressing concern over Yanan’s future with the group. Since he returned to China and pursued his career there, it seems he has no intention of returning to Korea.

It was also disclosed that Yuto, their Japanese member, had returned to his home country to begin a new chapter in his life. However, due to certain circumstances, he is currently unable to communicate with his fellow members.

During a recent “Ask Me Anything”session on Instagram, Hongseok answered questions about his fellow members that had piqued the curiosity of the Universe.

When asked about Yuto unblocking him, Hongseok gave a brief update and replied with the following answer:

“Nope.”

Despite initial concerns, fans were quick to clarify that this does not mean that the members of PENTAGON are on bad terms. In fact, earlier this year, Yuto opened up about the overwhelming support he has received from his co-members for the path he is currently pursuing.

After that, a fan requested Hongseok to share his thoughts on Yanan, who has been receiving criticism from the fandom for supposedly prioritizing his career in China over his group commitments.

Despite being mistreated by Cube over the years, there were fans who staunchly defended him and highlighted his decision to continue his career in his home country.

Afterwards, Hongseok added:

“I wish I could honestly talk about Yanan. But I am concerned about how other members (would) think of him. It’s not easy for me to personally talk about Yanan because whatever I say will make our fans take sides. Please understand!”

Despite the belief among fans that Cube Entertainment was the reason for preventing discussions about the group’s members, it was revealed that the members themselves were actually the ones being cautious. They were concerned about potential conflicts between their fans and also wanted to avoid causing any harm to their fellow members.

Upon the X post going viral, Universe proceeded to call out the author for deceiving non-fans and emphasized that PENTAGON is in fact doing well.

Furthermore, the members disclosed their plans to reunite within the year.
