Pep Guardiola roasts Arsenal with brutal Premier League title race jibe

Pep Guardiola, manager of Man City, has playfully hinted that Arsenal may not be contenders in the Premier League title race, alongside his team and Liverpool. He questioned what the Gunners were doing at the top of the table, jokingly suggesting they may not belong there.

Prior to his team’s upcoming Premier League match against Crystal Palace, Guardiola was questioned about the unusual nature of being involved in a three-way battle for the title with Arsenal and Liverpool, in addition to Man City.

“That’s a great question,”he responded to TNT Sports. “During my time as a manager, I was always associated with Barcelona and Real Madrid in Spain, and with Bayern Munich it was Borussia Dortmund.”

“It’s our first time as a trio. What brings Arsenal to the mix?”he joked. “But seriously, welcome. These are three top teams. We’re all neck and neck and we know exactly what needs to be done.”

As the Premier League title race approaches its final eight games of the season, Guardiola made a lighthearted remark about the current standings. After 30 games, only three points separate Liverpool, Arsenal, and Man City.

In the opinion of former Chelsea player Joe Cole, all three teams are worthy of being crowned champions. Fans are eagerly looking at the upcoming fixture list to determine which matches could have a significant impact in deciding the champion come May.

This Sunday, Liverpool will travel to Old Trafford, and Jamie Carragher remains convinced that Arsenal and Man City should feel confident in the possibility of the Reds losing points.

On Saturday afternoon, Arsenal will face Brighton, while Man City’s match against Crystal Palace will occur during the lunchtime slot.
