If you were expecting the Dominique/Bryton fiasco to be the only source of drama this season, get ready for more.
Prior to the airing of the show, leaked photos revealed that Jess Vestal and Harry Jowsey were going to form a couple. However, what was not known at the time was that their relationship had previously been entangled in a chaotic love triangle.
In the second set of episodes, the topic of the “kiss-gate”was brought to our attention. Melinda Berry from THTH claimed that she and Harry had shared a kiss, but Harry adamantly denied it, explaining that he had only carried her and nothing more occurred between them.
Despite the alleged smooch taking place off-screen, it is impossible for the audience to determine the truth. Despite this, Jess sought out Melinda’s perspective after hearing a conflicting story from Harry and she claimed that she and Harry had kissed.
Despite feeling upset, Jess did not confront Harry directly to verify the truth of the situation. Instead, she chose to publicly confront Melinda in front of other members of the Season 2 cast.
“So, how do you feel about that? Are you proud? Do you think this was the most respectful setting to share that?”she asked sharply.
Viewers immediately turned to Reddit to support Melinda in the situation, criticizing Jess for her aggressive behavior and questioning why she is not more upset with Harry.
A fan expressed, “The manner in which she addressed Melinda was unpleasant and immediately made me develop a dislike for her. I appreciate Tolu for defending her.”
A different viewer also added their opinion, stating, “Even though I’m not a supporter of Melinda, that scene really bothered me. How could you still play along with someone as despicable as Harry?”
A third Redditor pointed out that Jessica’s behavior was not a good look at all and it seemed like she had lost control. They also mentioned her regretful outburst towards Jimmy.
As of now, neither of them has publicly addressed their tense moment. Additionally, since the first season of Perfect Match did not include a reunion segment, it is highly unlikely that fans will see them interact and discuss the situation in person.
