Perfect Match’s Jess Vestal addresses mom shaming in Season 2

Jess Vestal, the star of Perfect Match, is unwavering in her refusal to accept criticism regarding her relationship with her daughter.

Jess Vestal’s second on-screen appearance was in Perfect Match, and although she faced backlash during her time on Love Is Blind, the criticism she received this time was unlike before.

While the focus was primarily on her, the public also directed their scrutiny towards her 11-year-old daughter, Autumn. The main criticism surrounded her decision to leave Autumn in order to film both Love Is Blind and Perfect Match during the same year.

Many viewers were left feeling uneasy by the constant mentioning of Autumn’s name during Perfect Match, particularly by her ex, Harry Jowsey, who had never even met her. This caused discomfort among a significant number of viewers.

After enduring a significant amount of mom-shaming, she has finally decided to speak out now that the entire season has been aired.

On June 23, Jess shared a message on her Instagram story to address the widespread criticism. The TV personality clarified that although it may appear as though she was separated from her child for a whole year, she had only been away for less than a month during the filming of both shows.

Jess mentioned that Autumn could have valuable bonding time with her biological father during her absence.

“Despite the criticism, the experience from both shows has brought unexpected blessings. She kindly requested for the mom-shaming to cease, as it serves no purpose.”

It goes without saying that Jess has not let the haters get the best of her. It wouldn’t be surprising if fans see her on other reality TV shows in the future, such as The Traitors US.

At the same time, Harry, who plays her ex on-screen, is receiving heavy criticism. In fact, a Netflix celebrity has even called for him to be permanently barred from collaborating with the streaming service.
