After Seunghan’s exit from the K-pop group RIIZE, fans known as BRIIZEs began rallying for his return through a petition and protests.
On October 13th, SM Entertainment officially revealed plans to restructure RIIZE as a 6-member group following Seunghan’s departure.
Initially, the management expressed support for his comeback; however, they altered their stance after being confronted by OT6 K-BRIIZEs, who delivered 1,000 funeral wreaths to SM’s headquarters.
Each and every one of these wreaths is a malicious comment you wrote. Do you think the celebrities who died because of malicious comments had no justification? You chose to commit a sin by using the mere act of breathing as an excuse to curse. Stop talking nonsense about upholding justice. You were just upholding your own bizarre order. The K-pop community and international BRIIZEs voiced their disappointment upon realizing that the label was prioritizing the opinions of domestic fans, despite ongoing protests advocating for Seunghan’s return over the last 10 months since his hiatus began in November of the previous year.
On October 14th, Seunghan was seen visiting the memorial wreaths, visibly upset, while other RIIZE members such as Sohee were also moved to tears regarding the situation.
Witnessing the emotional toll on the members, the fandom rallied together to support Seunghan, initiating a petition aimed at his reinstatement in the group.
