Phasmophobia Update: Eventide Patch Notes – New Location, Optimization Changes, and More!

The upcoming Eventide update for Phasmophobia will introduce a significant content patch, featuring a new location, potential equipment modifications, and various optimization updates and fixes.

Since the ‘Ascension’ update in August 2023, Phasmophobia has not seen any significant updates, with the exception of the recently announced release date for the upcoming Eventide update. Changes to progression, equipment, customization, and other aspects were made in the ‘Ascension’ update, but there have not been many notable updates since then.

Everything Coming in the Eventide Update

The upcoming Eventide update for Phasmophobia, set to be released on June 25, 2024, will introduce the Point Hope Lighthouse location and bring significant updates to leveling and equipment.

Initially, Kinetic Games had planned to launch Point Hope and modifications to the major Ascension update, which came out in August 2023, as individual updates. However, they have now opted to combine them into one extensive ‘Eventide’ update.

In a recent developer update regarding the ‘Adjusting the Ascension’ update scheduled for January, Kinetic Games stated that the upcoming patch will include the following changes:

  • The amount of XP required to level up will be reduced.
  • The unlocking of Equipment Tiers will be faster.
  • There will be additional Prestige incentives added.
  • Improvements have been made to the majority of equipment through optimization tweaks.
  • Significant modifications to the functioning of photos.
  • The Monkey Paw “See the Ghost” wish darkness only starting when the hunt does.
  • Modifications were made to the training in order to enhance its realism.

We could see some major changes to equipment.

It is currently unknown whether all of these changes were included in the ‘Adjusting the Ascension’ update. However, additional details will be released on June 24, one day prior to the patch’s release. Please continue to check this page as we will provide updates as soon as the developers share more information about the Eventide patch.

Point Hope Lighthouse

The Eventide update for Phasmophobia, set to release on June 25, 2024, will introduce a new location called Point Hope Lighthouse.

The unique aspect of this map is that each room is circular and occupies an entire floor. Additionally, the rooms have a compact and confined appearance, resembling tents found in the Campsite areas. This means that escaping from the ghost will be a difficult task.

Kinetic Games has been providing sneak peeks of the rooms that will be included in Point Hope. In addition to a bathroom and storage room, they have introduced a game room that allows players to engage in a game of chess, provided they are familiar with the rules.

If you have already played it, take a look at the significance of the ending.
