On February 12, YG Entertainment issued an official statement regarding a grave security incident involving popular actress Son Na-eun. The agency disclosed that the actress’s personal mobile phone was compromised, resulting in the unauthorized acquisition of her private information.
The hacker subsequently attempted to extort Son Na-eun by demanding payment to avoid leaking the sensitive data. In a bid to protect her loved ones from potential repercussions, she chose to comply with the initial demand.

Despite her compliance, the extortionist continued to pursue additional financial requests, amplifying the threats made against her and her family. This ongoing harassment has placed a significant emotional burden on Son Na-eun and her relatives, who have been directly contacted by the perpetrator.
YG Entertainment has reassured the public that the incident has been reported to the authorities and is currently subject to an official police investigation. The agency has pledged to take robust legal measures against all forms of criminal activity, including privacy invasions and extortion.
