Photographer Attacked After Sharing Photos of BTS’s V and BLACKPINK’s Jennie In Paris

In 2023, photos and videos of BTS’s V and BLACKPINK’s Jennie in Paris went viral on social media, garnering considerable interest from their fans. Photographer Amar Taoualit, who captured the images, recently opened up about being physically assaulted following their release.

The photographer disclosed that although the videos went viral on May 17, they were filmed on May 15. He clarified that he was not anticipating seeing V and Jennie and that the pictures were of low quality due to his reliance on his phone.

During a recent interview, Amar discussed a memorable experience. He had been carrying out a typical photo shoot when a K-Pop enthusiast informed him that V was attending a CELINE event in Paris. However, he didn’t have any information about Jennie’s whereabouts. Amar shared that he waited for more than an hour at a bus stop near a club after 11 PM. Upon seeing V and Jennie exiting while holding hands, he quickly snapped a photo and sent it to a friend, who was taken aback.

Despite not closely following the couple, Amar received a strong backlash from the online community after posting the images. He was bombarded with insulting messages, with many questioning his decision to publish the photos. However, there were also those who expressed relief that the truth had finally been revealed. Amar clarified that he viewed the photos solely as images of celebrities.

Nevertheless, Amar’s explanation was met with a considerable backlash from netizens. Numerous individuals raised doubts about the photographer’s reasoning, pointing out that it seemed contradictory to his earlier statement, in which he had asserted that running into the two idols was not a deliberate act.
