A photographer from North Carolina has gained viral attention after accidentally discovering a secret room in her cousin’s recently bought house.
During her visit to her cousin’s house, TikToker Noelle Pierce stumbled upon a room hidden in a closet.
In her viral TikTok video, she expressed her fear after her cousin purchased a new house, which has been viewed by nearly 14 million people.
As Pierce stepped into the closet, she opened another door within, exposing a spooky playroom with a low ceiling and metal latches on the floor that only added to the eerie atmosphere.

The room was also equipped with two smaller doors on the side. “I instructed [my cousin] to lock them with a padlock because I suspect that someone may be residing within the walls,”Pierce mentioned.
The commenters were just as spooked as the photographer and shared some helpful tips.
One person emphasized the urgency by saying, “Make sure to contact Olivia Benson immediately,”alluding to the detective from Law & Order SVU.
“Another person suggested that this might be a kidnapper’s house and the place where they would hide the children, which was the first thought that came to their mind.”
Some also mentioned that it brought to mind the novel ‘Flowers in the Attic,’ which tells the story of four siblings who are forced to live in secret and endure mistreatment in their grandparents’ home following their father’s passing.

The TikToker further elaborated in a subsequent video that while she had already discovered some storage spaces by opening doors, the discovery of the hidden room was unexpected as it had not been mentioned in the home’s Zillow listing.
According to Pierce’s cousin, who spoke to USA Today, she finds the entire situation to be “amusing.”
In 2024, a couple who had been living in their home for four years made headlines when they discovered a secret room behind a bookcase and called the police. This was not the first instance of a hidden room going viral on social media.
