The ongoing problems with Pokemon Go’s new avatars have deteriorated, as certain Pokemon will now hover around their Trainer instead of making physical contact.
The most recent update to Pokemon Go has caused a stir among fans who are unhappy with the alterations made to their avatars. These changes have resulted in noticeable differences in the appearance of everyone’s characters, including their physical features and clothing choices.
One ongoing concern raised by fans is the issue of clipping. The updated avatars do not mesh well with the clothing, causing situations where their skin can be seen through their attire.
The converse problem can also arise when items fail to connect with the character model, resulting in accessories floating in midair.
A member of the Pokemon Go Reddit community recently posted about a glitch in their game that causes their Pikachu to float above their shoulder instead of sitting on it. This has created the illusion that Flying Pikachu has made a comeback in the game.
I know everybody hates the update, but now my buddy isn’t even touching me byu/pancakesiguess inpokemongo
Fortunately, the discourse surrounding Pokemon Go has been especially vitriolic of late, but fans are still able to find some humor in these issues. The player base is expressing frustration over the recent changes to avatars, particularly as certain items that were previously paid for are not functioning as expected.
The question remains whether Niantic will address the backlash and make changes accordingly. Will they revert back to the previous settings or will they stand firm and hope that players will eventually adapt? In the meantime, players will have to continue walking around with their pants hitched up, accompanied by a flying Pikachu on their shoulders, until a resolution is reached.
