Is there a release date for Agatha: Coven Chaos?

Although no official date has been announced, Agatha is still expected to be released in late 2024.

Despite the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Agatha is still expected to have a premiere in 2024, according to a report by Variety.

The series, which was previously titled Coven of Chaos, House of Harkness, and Darkhold Diaries, will now be known as Agatha.

It is also common knowledge that the show will consist of a total of nine episodes.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Patti LuPone, who stars as Agatha, confirmed that the show will consist of nine episodes. She revealed that all nine scripts were completed prior to filming.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos cast: Who’s in it, and are there any new characters?

Kathryn Hahn is set to reprise her role as the witch Agatha in the upcoming project. She will be joined by Emma Caulfield, who also starred in Wandavision as Sarah Proctor/Dottie Jones, the influential figure in Westview society.

In April 2023, Patti LuPone made a major announcement about her upcoming debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the witch Lilia Calderu. During an appearance on The View, the renowned Broadway star shared details about her character and her fellow cast members.

The actress described her role as Lilia Calderu in the coven of witches in the Marvel world. She expressed her fascination with the character, praising her physical appearance and abilities. Prior to this project, she was unaware of the existence of witches in the Marvel world, but now realizes that they play a significant role. Joining her in this coven are talented co-stars Kathryn Hahn, Aubrey Plaza, and Joe Locke, known for their role as Familiar in Heartstopper.

Earlier, it was revealed that Joe Locke, known for his role in Heartstopper, had been selected for a part, sparking speculation that he could potentially portray an alternate iteration of Wanda’s son, Billy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan.

Similarly, Aubrey Plaza’s addition to the MCU was announced by Variety in November of last year. However, Plaza’s role will be that of an original character named Rio Vidal. According to reports, Vidal is expected to portray a “green witch”and former colleague of Agatha.

Plaza’s involvement in this major comic book project marks a first for the actress. She is renowned for her deadpan comedic style, most notably seen in her role as April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation. This casting also reunites Plaza with her former Parks and Recreation colleague, Hahn.

Comedian Sasheer Zamata, known for her role on Saturday Night Live, has been added to the cast as the powerful Sorceress Jennifer Kale.

Furthermore, in addition to the aforementioned new additions, it has been confirmed by Deadline that Debra Jo Rupp, known for her role as Mrs. Hart in WandaVision, will also be making an appearance in Agatha.

There are no changes needed as Agatha is a proper name.

At this time, there is no information available about Agatha. However, under its former title, Agatha: House of Harkness, Marvel announced that the show will delve deeper into the character introduced in Marvel Studios’ WandaVision.

“Jac Schaefer, who previously served as head writer and executive producer on WandaVision, will be returning for Agatha: House of Harkness. It is recommended to keep all dogs named Sparky out of sight.”

At the time of writing, there are no additional confirmed plot details. However, in WandaVision, Agatha was unveiled as the cause of Wanda’s distress and the manipulator of her surroundings in Westview. Driven by her desire for Wanda’s immense powers, Agatha was ultimately left trapped in her own body and living as nosy neighbor Agnes. It is probable that we will see her attempts to break free from her imprisonment.

However, as reported by The Illuminerdi, Agatha will continue her story following the events of WandaVision and will be set in the town of Westview. The spell that Wanda had cast on Agatha will be broken by a new Coven of Witches, with reports suggesting that Aubrey Plaza will be among them.

Fans of WandaVision are eagerly anticipating the musical aspects of Agatha’s character in the upcoming show. Her song “Agatha All Along”from WandaVision has already become a hit and a fan favorite. Fortunately, it seems that this trend will continue in the new show, as Hahn has hinted at the possibility of Agatha having multiple new songs that will surely be catchy and memorable for viewers.

Furthermore, the below set photos reveal that there will be references to other Disney properties within the story, including The Princess Diaries.

Will Scarlet Witch make an appearance in Agatha?

The question of whether Elizabeth Olsen will reprise her role as Scarlet Witch in the series remains a mystery. During a recent interview with Deadline, Olsen was asked if she could provide any hints about her potential return to the MCU. She responded by saying, “I don’t know how to answer these questions, but I believe I will be back.”

Despite the limited information, it is not unexpected that Olsen is unwilling to reveal anything, considering the MCU’s tendency to keep future projects under wraps. Rest assured, we will provide updates if any news or confirmation regarding Olsen’s future in the MCU emerges.

Marvel has yet to officially confirm the veracity of these plot details, so it is recommended to continue checking here for any potential updates regarding the show’s storyline.

Is there a trailer for Agatha?

Despite the show’s reported start of production and planned release date in late 2024, we will have to wait patiently for any footage. In the meantime, behind-the-scenes footage of the series offers a first glimpse at the show and its main characters.
