Avowed offers a rich world teeming with enigmas and treasures waiting to be uncovered by players traversing the Living Lands. One treasure that might elude many is the elusive Dead Man’s Mail map.
In your quest to explore this expansive universe—whether completing main storylines, pursuing bounties, or engaging in battles—it’s crucial to ensure that your arsenal consists of the best weapons and armor available.
While some equipment can be procured from merchants, a significant portion lies hidden within chests, each guarded by cryptic riddles and images that provide hints to their whereabouts. Among these treasures, the Dead Man’s Mail stands out, offering a formidable armor piece along with numerous other rewards.
Locating the Dead Man’s Mail Map

To uncover the Dead Man’s Mail treasure, make your way to Tago’s Tower located in Shatter Scarp, which is situated northwest of Sharks Teeth. You’ll find a teleportation tower nearby, directing you almost precisely to the location hinted at on the map.
Once you’ve arrived, proceed to the mark on the map. This corresponds to a small structure positioned to the right of the tower. The treasure chest can be found on the second floor of the tomb. Look for a small ramp leading up, leading you to the alcove that houses the chest.
What Rewards Await?

Players can expect a collection of valuable gems and crafting materials as part of their haul, along with the rather quirky Necropants. This piece of Medium Armor boasts Superb Quality and is Unique, allowing for enchanting enhancements. Notably, it comes with pre-existing effects that enable you to summon a Spectre to aid you in combat and a +30% resistance to Poison Accumulation.
Is the Necropants Worth It?
For users who frequently utilize Medium Armor, the Necropants prove to be a fantastic choice. Their high quality can sustain players well into the endgame, especially when upgrades are applied. Furthermore, the armor’s ability to summon a Spectre not only provides a temporary ally for 35 seconds but also significantly enhances your offensive capabilities during encounters.
When you factor in the armor’s high Damage Reduction along with decent Max Stamina and Essence stats, it becomes an essential piece for any Ranger. And should you find the appearance of the Necropants less than appealing, feel free to transmogrify it into a more desirable design.
